Education: Work with the school board and community agencies to provide a sound education for all children and improve the graduation rate; provide a stronger network of community support for youth.
Sustainable Development: Focus on sustainable development strategies including resource conservation, multi-modal transportation, open space preservation, and revitalization of Downtown and surrounding neighborhoods.
Reducing Crime: Continue to work with criminal justice agencies to implement the recommendations of the Crime Cabinet that I co-chair, including implementation of the recommendations from the Gang Assesment.
Economic Development: Promote quality economic development and prepare our citizens for the jobs.
Capital Improvements: Provide new infrastructure to meet needs associated with growth and consider revenue alternatives.
System of Care: Expand system of care to serve the homeless and dually diagnosed adults.
Fiscal Accountability: Continue to focus on efficient and effective delivery of county services.
